Great Job New York!

New York City
The New York City demonstration was initiated by United for Peace and Justice. There was a strong turnout despite a steady downpour. UFPJ organizers estimated the crowd at 45,000. The ANSWER Coalition mobilized people from many cities on the East Coast and organized a spirited student and youth contingent.

US Foreign policy...

Video from Burma: SHOOT ON SIGHT

Another case of extreme human rights violations that the Bush Peace Crusaders seem to be ignoring. I wonder why the poor people of Iraq, with their BMWs, Levi jeans, Nike shoes, and cell phones were such a priority for saving and the people of Burma, Darfur, N. Korea, China, and heck-even New Orleans, aren't even on their radar. Hmmmm, I wonder....

Bill Maher Interviews Dennis Kucinich (04/27/07)

Dennis Kucinich is another great Democrat running for office. The more I listen to guys like Kucinich and Gravel, the less I want to listen to Hillary, Obama, or Edwards.

Sen. Mike Gravel at SC Debates 04/26/07

Mike Gravel is one of the only politicians I've ever seen that tell it like it is. Spread the word -www.gravel2008.us

Great Info Site

Prject Vote Smart is probably one of the best information sites out there concerning elected officials, candidates, elections, legislature, and just about everything inbetween. With the big 08 election just around the corner, it wouldn't hurt to add this site to your favorites.

I hope everyone's having a great summer!

Real Id=Real Problems

At this moment officals in the NSA are looking to implement a "Real-Id" program, a nation wide id that will be required of everyone in the country. This program is spending billion that could be used for other failing institutions such as our Education System, our lack of nation health care, and a mutitude of other more reasonable and benificial programs that are decaying today. This "Id" will require all of us as citizens to fork out about $100 dollars to receive. A few states have begun to fight this "Real Id" situation, with many more to follow. Just think, all of your information will be put into a database shared by all the DMV's, in the country. On top of this, the card will be required to board a commercial plane, enter gov't buildings and so forth. This "Id" will also come with a scanable component used from retailers to airports. Another fantastic moment for those who cherish privacy and don't want to be followed around and checked up on by this Government. This new program will also make such things as identity theft, commonplace. Our voices can be heard by going to the Gov't website, but it is a long process to find where to write your comments. If help is needed the A.C.L.U.'s website will help in the proper steps needed to file a comment. I cherish my freedom as should all Americans, our rights were made to be upheld not be broken by those who are required to uphold them.
